(photo: scenes from our real pantry…there aren’t many things that can’t be cured by thinly-crisped Spam, kimchi, and a bowl of rice)

Four weeks ago we all were put into an orbit much different than the one we’re used to, and baked into this change was this beautiful side effect where I feel a lot of us started moving at a slower, more deliberate pace. For me, this meant that I started spending a lot more time in our pantry.

Similarly, I slid back into a space with music that I hadn’t occupied since 2013 when I last hosted a radio show. Back in those days I was “deep in the pantry”. Exploring every corner of the musical universe, getting familiar with flavors of all kinds, and thinking of what type of musical meals I could cook up for whoever was down to take a musical ride.

So that’s where I’m at these days, and that’s what this new chapter is about: exploring the various corners of the pantry—through this website and these essays and this radio network—all with the intent of putting something fresh on your plate.

Thanks again, and much love….
